Employee Satisfaction

Just promoted

After 15 months in my role I've been promoted to a new position. I'm excited about the opportunity in front of me, with my new role, but concerned about the continued improvement of the team I'm leaving. When I took the role 15 months ago I walked into a department that hadn't had stable leadership for the prior three plus years. That instability led to high levels of mistrust in leadership as well as a lack of enthusiasm for change. All though there is still more work to do, the atmosphere has changed significantly and we've been on track to dramatically improve the atmosphere. My concern is that I'm leaving a team I've become a part of and am hoping that my departure doesn't lead to continued stability concerns.

I feel like I have a good idea of how to make the best of this transition for my team, but would appreciate feedback from someone who's been here before, either as a transitioning leader or an employee living through the transition.

Thanks for your help!
